I suppose that I haven’t gotten over my silliness, so do bear with me. And no, I haven’t had one cup of eggnog too many. There is still a lot of folk music and jazz out there, just not tonight. My gift to you this evening is three great animations of three great commercial Christmas songs. I wish all a very happy, holy and meaningful season. Here we go….
It’s a time of celebration and hope in the darkness – what better time for silliness.
I love the hippopotamus song. It’s been sung by the ‘pre-k’ class at my granddaughter’s preschool holiday program the past two years, so next year she may be singing that song herself. On another level, it’s an illustration of the complete faith and trust children have that anything is possible and could happen.
I did silliness, this evening, myself. Attended an on-line Christmas party in someone’s newsgroup over at SFF Net–an annual event. I could never bring myself to go to a party that would stretch to more than two hours, but a virtual party? Yeah!

That was quite refreshing. Thank you!

It’s good to laugh.
